YouTube Store: Now Available, but Down already?

It has been reported that YouTube has quietly opened their Store on their website, allowing you to purchase TV shows and new movies. However, after a quick glance on their page, we can’t see any content at all.

YouTube are apparently offering content across all ranges which are available for viewing for 48 hours after purchasing. Prices range from 99 cents to $4, and can be easily purchased via Google Check-Out.

We’re not sure if Google has already removed the content after encountering problems with it, or if the YouTube Store is just not available in Europe yet – which is probably the case. It is early days yet, but soon as Google strike some deals with the big movie companies out there, this could really take off.

Try it for yourself, and let us know how you get on. Can you buy any content from the store or not?
