YouTube down June 22 with 500 error shock

Youtube is down suddenly on June 22, 2016 and not working with a 500 internal server error. It’s not the first time that we have seen this error pop up, but obviously users are surprised as there was no prior warning.

Upon logging into the homepage on desktop or mobile, this is the image you may see. Google has once again used the humorous ‘monkey’ statement to say that they are on top of the situation so hopefully it will be back up soon.

Google does not have a YouTube service status page, so leave a comment below if you are still having problems getting access in your area.

We’ll update this article if we get an official statement, but our prediction is that the outage won’t last long. Millions of users suddenly without YouTube – for fun, tell us what video you were watching when it went down!
