According to Mary Ann Neder at appmodo.com, Kima Ventures-backed YellowBrck has just announced the release of its new YellowBrck social network app that not only enables parent to stay in touch, but also earn themselves coupons and discounts from both local and online retailers.
Users can earn the discounts and coupons simply by ‘checking-in’ day-to-day parenting activities such as playtime, mealtime and laundry duties. The YellowBrck app also enables parents to share and exchange information including tips on parenting, and ideas and activities.
It will even help parent discover the latest family events or hot spots in their area or nationwide. Just like Foursquare and other location-based applications, YellowBrck comes with check-ins and badges, as well as discounts and coupons for stores such as Dapple, Torly Kid and EcoMum.
