Xperia Z3+, Z4 tablet Android 6.0 update live

If you own a Sony Xperia Z3+ or Z4 tablet, then it was a big day yesterday, as the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update went live.

This is good news, especially after those of you with newer devices were already being treated to this latest update last week. This update has only just started to rollout for the older devices above, and so you might not be able to download yours just yet.

Now that you know the Xperia Z3+ and Z4 tablet update rollout has begun, you should keep an eye on your device to see if it’s ready for you to download and install now.

There is something that you may want to know; it seems as though only the LTE and Wi-Fi-only versions of the Z4 tablet will be receiving this update. And, it looks to only be the single SIM variant of the Z3+ smartphone that gets this new update.

We do expect the dual SIM model to get the update, we just do not know how long it will be before those downloads begin.

This update will not be available via your carrier, and so Xperiablog will provide FTF firmware links very soon.
