Apple may be preparing to unleash a new iPhone 6 later this year, but the big talk at the moment is what Xiaomi are getting up to in China with regards to the highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi4 India release date.
The popular iPhone clone is a massive hit in India and after a recent launch for the Xiaomi Mi3, consumers are hoping that they won’t have to wait long to see an upgrade to the newest model.
Xiaomi Mi4 pre-orders are already live in Italy, so it could be an indication that a Xiaomi Mi4 India launch could happen before the end of the year. The Xiaomi series are usually exclusive to Asia markets including India, but thanks to one third-party distributor, Italian consumers will be able to get their hands on the device too.
Thanks to the listing which is now live, we can see that there is a Xiaomi Mi4 price of 394.90 Euros, or around $530 USD for conversion prices. Due to some whispers shared already, we can see early predictions of an expected Xiaomi Mi4 price in India of Rs 19,499/Rs 24,499 depending on 16GB of 64GB of storage.
It may be perceived as an iPhone clone in the West, but don’t be fooled too much as the Xiaomi Mi4 specs are actually very desirable indeed. They include a 5-inch 1080 x 1920 display, a 2.5Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, a whopping 3GB of RAM and fantastic graphics potential for gaming with an onboard Adreno 330 GPU system.
On top of that, there’s a eye popping 13MP rear camera and wait for it, an 8 megapixel front-camera too – are there actually any phones out over there that can offer this quality for a front-camera? Battery life is going to be a strong point too with an included 3080mAh battery.
Don’t forget that Xiaomi devices will also run on a customized version of Android called MIUI – almost like a stock version without the clutter too, which is always nice.
We see terrible clones of existing products all of the time in China, but the Xiaomi Mi4 could be one clone that you may want to experience when it is ready for launch.
For our Indian readers specifically, are you realistically expecting to see the Xiaomi Mi4 launch in 2014, or do you think you’ll have to wait until 2015 as the Mi3 has only just come out?
