Xbox One update to fix interface problems due

Are you having some problems navigating around the Xbox One interface, compared to when using the Xbox 360? If the answer is yes, you’ll be pleased to hear that Microsoft is planning an update to specifically target areas of the interface that consumers are not happy with at the moment.

Microsoft has sent out word, telling everyone that the first major update for Xbox One is going to be about improving the ‘Live’ experience that users have at the moment.

Social features were one specific aspect of this, as Microsoft’s Marc Whitten has admitted to Engadget that some of the social features on Xbox One are ‘hidden away’ and ‘harder to find’ compared to the experience on Xbox 360.

To pick out one quote from him:

“As a person who’s been pretty involved in building Xbox Live for the last decade, I take it pretty seriously when people say it’s harder to get into a party, and the defaults aren’t right, and I don’t like the model.”

Basically put, if you are unhappy with the way the interface functions at the moment on Xbox One, you can expect big changes to happen over the course of the next few weeks. Microsoft hints that this update is going to land sooner rather than later, so hopefully we’ll be able to give you the good news soon.
