Xbox One Spring Update with 1440p out soon

At the end of February we told you that 1440p support for Xbox One was coming soon and now we are pleased to see that Microsoft has now started to rollout the Xbox One Spring Update for Insider members.

This means of course, that everyone else should be getting the update very soon so if you have been waiting for 1440p and have a supported monitor ready – your Xbox gaming experience is about to go up a level.

What 1440p support means, is that you will be able to output Xbox One games at a resolution of 2560×1440, which is obviously significantly higher than the 1080p Full HD standard.

You’ll need a monitor to support this of course but we know that there are a lot of hardcore Xbox gamers out there with a dedicated monitor set up, so this is going to be exciting for those gamers.

You can see the full list of improvements in the Xbox One Spring update here, while Microsoft has also offered up a handy improvements and known issues list to read through here.

Look forward to the Spring Update releasing soon. Let us know if you have a 1440p monitor ready to enjoy once this update rolls out to everyone.
