Xbox One Slim 2015 rumors ignite early

Is it too early to start thinking about an Xbox One Slim console release date in 2015, just one year on from launch? This week, we have heard some new rumors suggesting that Microsoft are now actively seeking new engineers to help them with this new project.

We wouldn’t be surprised if we see an Xbox One slim console before a PS4 Slim, as many gamers are under the impression that the Xbox One is too big at the moment and some will only consider a purchase once Microsoft can reduce the size.

With this in mind, feast your eyes on a new discovery made by the GamesCabin, which links to Microsoft’s latest job descriptions. The company are currently searching for a new Senior Electrical Engineer, as well as a CAD Engineer.

Job descriptions include “implementing and verifying electrical subsystems on the motherboard” and perhaps more importantly – “design, test and debug complex hardware technologies for product development”.

Either Microsoft are leading us on a wild goose chase, or they are already thinking about what is the next hardware to release after the Xbox One. We are obviously years away from a full Xbox ‘Two’ console, so a slimmed down, lighter console would be the next logical step.

Would we perhaps see this go on sale during Holiday 2015 in order to tempt those who have been sitting on the fence into a purchase? We would love to see a slim console and also some new Xbox One colors as well, to match Sony’s aggressive strategy at the moment with various colors and themes on sale.

Two questions for you – Is it too early for an Xbox One Slim in your opinion? Would you buy one if it landed on the market this year for the right price?
