Xbox One midnight launch at GameStop and Microsoft

In less than two days time gamers will finally get to see if the wait has been worth it, as many of you who pre-ordered your Xbox One will finally be able to get your hands on them. Microsoft’s next-gen games console will be released on November 22, and as the clock turns to midnight, there will be some stores who will be allowing you to pick your console up.

There are to be Xbox One midnight launch events and at GameStop and Microsoft, although we are sure other retailers will be doing something as well, such as Best Buy.

Several Product Reviews readers have said that GameStop told them that stores will remain open on the evening of November 21 for its special midnight release event, which will see those of you who have pre-ordered to come in at 12:01am on November 22 local time to officially purchase the unit.

However, we expect you will be able to go through all the necessary checks such as proof of pre-order and identity before midnight, as a way to speed up the process. You will need to contact your local GameStop store or look at this link for details on which stores will be holding an event.

It comes as no surprise that Microsoft will be holding an Xbox One midnight launch event for the release of its next generation console, just as the Sony Store did with the PS4 in the US.

November 22, 2013 is a huge day for Microsoft because if you go into one of its stores at midnight you will not only be able to pick up your Xbox One pre-order, but also the Nokia Lumia 1520 and 2520, although not in the UK.

Microsoft stores will be holding parties for the Xbox One event from 10pm on November 21, where you will get the chance to win varies prizes and enjoy some great entertainment. If you are one of the first people at a Microsoft Store you will when a prize, which we hope will be an Xbox One launch title.

Like we said above, Best Buy will also open at midnight for people to pick up an Xbox One, more details of which can be seen on their website.
