Xbox One Media Remote pre-order live, momentarily

The Xbox One was launched at the end of last year and did not come with an official remote, although there were still other ways in which you could take control of your new games console, such as Kinect and Smartglass. While they are both fine, they are no substitute for the Xbox One Media Remote

There was a ray of light yesterday because the pre-order for that very remote went live yesterday on the Canadian Amazon website, albeit momentarily. Even though the page was removed it gave us an insight into the Xbox One Media Remote price, which was $24.99 Canadian or $22.69, which converts to about £15 in the UK.

Even though the page was not up for long we did manage to take a screenshot for you, although you can also visit the cached page here.

As for the Xbox One Media Remote release date, the page stated a date of March 4, 2014, which is a Tuesday. We can’t be certain if this is the real deal or just a placeholder, although we would like to think that this is when we will see the official clicker released.

We can understand why some people would wish to use one of these remotes, but we thought voice commands were the future; well that’s what Microsoft has been telling us? Personally, having the both offers the best of both worlds, although it would have been nice to be able to use the Xbox 360 controller as a way to save money.
