Xbox One launch games list at GamesCom 2013

Microsoft has just finished up with their GamesCom 2013 press conference and we’re now able to bring a full list of games that will be launching with the console in Europe. You’ll be pleased to hear that the quality and variety of games available this Holiday season is very impressive indeed, while there’s also another massive plus to confirm to you as well.

Earlier today, we told you about a strong rumor, suggesting that FIFA 14 would be bundled as a free game with every Xbox One console in Europe, in an attempt by Microsoft to close the gap on the PS4’s price advantage. Now we’re delighted to say that Microsoft has now confirmed this in black and white.

FIFA 14 is one of the launch games for the Xbox One and it is going to be completely free to play, both for existing Xbox One pre-orders and future orders of the console as well. Back to the main event though, as Microsoft has confirmed no fewer than 21 other games on top of FIFA 14 that will be available to buy day one with the console.

Some of the highlights include beauties such as Call of Duty Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, Watch Dogs, Battlefield 4, Killer Instinct, Madden NFL 25, Ryse, Forza Motorsport 5 and Just Dance 2014. Either way you look at it, we think there can be no complaints over a lack of games available, or indeed a lack of quality available either – Watch Dogs, COD Ghosts and Battlefield 4 on Xbox One will keep you busy for months, just for starters.

We challenge anyone to find a game on the following list that they are not interested in playing. We think Microsoft has done a good job with the launch lineup, so let’s wait to see what Sony has to offer in comparison.

The list:

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag
Battlefield 4
Call of Duty: Ghosts
Crimson Dragon
Dead Rising 3
Fighter Within
Forza Motorsport 5
Just Dance 2014
Killer Instinct
Lego Marvel Super Heroes
Madden NFL 25
NBA Live 14
Need for Speed: Rivals
Peggle 2
Powerstar Golf
Ryse: Son of Rome
Skylanders: Swap Force
Watch Dogs
Zoo Tycoon
Zumba Fitness: World Party
