Xbox One Backwards Compatibility update hoax for Black Ops 1

We know many of you are waiting to find out when Black Ops 1 is out for Xbox One backwards compatibility. We’ve already heard this week that Halo Wars has become the latest game available for the popular feature, but it looks like there has also been a hoax floating around with regards to Black Ops 1.

Specifically, an image which has been distributed via email and allegedly sent by Microsoft. Many have thought that Black Ops 1 would be made available very soon after seeing the image below, but we’ve since found out that even Major Nelson was sent the same email and has said that the information is ‘inaccurate’.

You can see confirmation from this from the exchange we picked out from Reddit.

To confirm, Black Ops 1 is coming out for Xbox One backwards compatibility, but it seems that it is still not ready just yet. We thought that it would be launched in February, but Activision are obviously still keeping everyone waiting.

The question that we want to know: Did you get this same email suggesting that Black Ops 1 was already available along with Skate 3 and the Bioshock Collection?

We’ll update you once we have official details to share on when Black Ops 1 is finally live on the Xbox Marketplace.
