Xbox One August update release time with review

We have a feeling that it’s going to be a great week for Xbox One owners. We told you last week that the Xbox One August update was already live for those that managed to get invited to Microsoft’s preview program.

Now though, as we wait for the public release for all users, we have an excellent Xbox One August update review for you to take a look. One user has generously filmed all of the key aspects of the update for your viewing pleasure, allowing you to get a good heads-up of what is new before Microsoft are ready to go live.

As we told you in a previous article, one of the standout features is Xbox One 3D Blu-Ray support. Microsoft actually announced this feature before Sony, but we have since seen Sony release their PS4 1.75 update and pushed out the same feature before Microsoft.

There are plenty of other treats to look forward to though, such as improvements to Xbox One Friends – great to see as this was one of the key areas in which the community were hoping Microsoft would look at.

The video is over 8 minutes long so take a break to have a good look at what is coming – it’s essential viewing for all Xbox One owners who are not in the preview program.

It’s great to see that Microsoft hasn’t removed the video yet, as perhaps in the past this would have been removed in a split second.

As an Xbox One user who already has the August update running, are you very happy with what Microsoft has already brought to the table, or are you already looking forward to the Xbox One September update?

Do you think Microsoft will release the update to everyone this week? We’ll update this the minute it goes live.
