Sony PS3 and PS4 owners will be getting ready for an announcement in regard to their PS Plus October 2014 update, although it’s now time for Xbox 360 and Xbox One users to get hyped again for the upcoming Xbox Games with Gold October 2014 update.
Microsoft just announced the full list through Major Nelson, but will the gamers be happy with the new titles after past trends for certain themes? Microsoft’s Xbox Games with Gold offering will release from October 1st, so let’s take a look to see if previous gamer predictions got the expected titles correct, and if the Xbox One / 360 Games with Gold October update hits the sweet spot.
This month Xbox Live Gold members will be getting three games for free on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. These include Chariot by Frima for Xbox One and then starting October 1st, Xbox 360 owners receive Battlefield: Bad Company 2 totally free until the middle of the month.
In the latter half of next month, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can download a higher priced title for free. This will be Darksiders 2, which normally retails for just under $50. It’s worth mentioning there’s a chance other regions might offer a different lineup, although the above free games are for USA.
It’s interesting to see all the retail game predictions that were left after gamers left their desires. It looks like some people will be disappointed, but also others will be looking forward to playing at least two of the freebies.
Are the titles revealed today just what you wanted for the October update on Xbox 360 and Xbox One? Were you happy to see Chariot on Xbox One, or disappointed? Let us also know if Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on Xbox 360 is welcomed this month.
