Xbox 360: USB Mass Storage Device Support, Coming Soon

It has recently been revealed that an update for the Xbox 360 will add support for USB mass storage devices when it is released, this update will apparently be launched in Spring 2010.

This support for USB mass storage devices will be great for Xbox 360 gamers who are running out of storage on their hard drives or memory unit, as you will be able to plug in a pen drive and use it to store “Xbox Live Arcade games, Xbox Live Indie games, Games on Demand, DLC and Title Updates”.

Also if you like to copy your games directly to your Xbox 360’s hard disk you will be able to do a similar thing with USB storage, that said the read speeds of USB devices are not as good as the read speed of an Xbox 360, personally I think if you are running short of hard disk space and do not want to delete anything buying an 8 or 16GB pen drive and using it to store game demos etc on would be a great solution to your troubles.
