Xbox 360 Kinect: Control Sky Player with gestures and voice

It has been announced today by Microsoft and Sky that there will be full integration with Kinect and the Sky Player on Xbox 360.

In an article on VG247 Stephany Nunneley is saying that it will be controllable with gestures of your hand, or using your voice. People who subscribe to Sky Player will have instant access for up to 32 live TV channels, and more than 100 on demand programs which include sports, movies, and a variety of TV shows.

The press release about the service said “Selecting a favorite show, changing live channels, or easily scrolling forward and back through on-demand content is all made possible by a simple wave of a hand.” Viewers will be able to play, pause, fast forward and rewind content just by using their voice.

So far there has been more than one million Sky Players, so adding the Kinect could prove very popular. The service will be available in the UK from November 10.
