Fans of Blizzard games such as Diablo, StarCraft and World of Warcraft will be keeping a close eye on the Internet during the next few months, as it is reported that Blizzard’s President & CEO Mike Morhaime will be taking to the stage to announce Blizzard’s finances, but more interestingly, the release of the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm closed beta, which we covered previously.
According to rumors on the Internet, the Cataclysm closed beta is scheduled to be coming this May-June, and with any luck Morhaime will use the conference on May 6 to officially announce the start of the closed beta, also along with its first quarter 2010 results. Activision Blizzard will also hold a conference call that is scheduled to be broadcasted over the Internet.
You never know, along with the Cataclysm announcement, we could also receive more information regarding the release of recently announced Diablo III, and more information about StarCraft II’s impending release which has been in beta since February.
