Earlier on, we reported how Google has added a simple World Cup interface for specific search results, now Microsoft has also followed them by adding their own unique information for the tournament.
If you type the words ‘world cup teams’ into Bing, you’ll see a message prompting you to install Microsoft Silverlight. This only takes a few moments and once you have done it – you’ll see a slick interface in front of you.
This is Bing’s World Cup database if you like, as you’ll be able to see pretty much everything you need to know from your chosen team at the World Cup, which kicks-off tomorrow. All sorts of statistics are available to view, while clicking the team name will bring up the World Cup squad and individual stats for each player – very impressive.
If you didn’t know about Bing’s Visual Search results for the World Cup, you should definitely check it out and bookmark the page.
What are your thoughts on Bing’s World Cup page? I think you’ll like what you see.
