Withings Activité price and design questioned

When we think of a fitness tracker, we assume it will be something made from rubber or some sort of flexible material, as this seems to be the standard design. However, Withings has gone about things a little different with its fitness tracker, the Activité, which you can clearly see in the image below.

The Withings Activité is very elegant in design and you would be mistaken for thinking that you are looking at a normal watch, something that Withings was going for, as they seemed to have used other watchmakers as inspiration. There are two color choices, black or silver, both of which have been made from stainless steel 316L, as well as sapphire glass to add strength and durability.

At first glass you would think you were looking at a normal watch, but hidden inside is all the technology to make it a fitness tracker. This is something that we have come to expect from Withings because they have a knack at taking something standard, like a set of scales and making them into something far greater.

However, not all of you will be happy with the Withings Activité design because while it may look elegant when you are dressed up ready to go out, it will look completely out of place in the gym while you are doing your workout. What are your thoughts on its design?

One of the biggest issues is the Withings Activité price, as it is to cost $390 was released sometime in the fall. To learn more on this device, then visit Withings.
