Where to buy the Withings Activite Pop is one question a few Product Reviews readers have on their mind today, especially those of you in the UK that have to deal with Dixons customer service. We have received a few complaints about order problems at both PC World and Curry’s in the UK, in fact even one PC World staff member said directly to us “Dixons online customer service isn’t the best”.
The UK stock for Withings Activite Pop is very low with PC World / Curry’s quoting around 500 items in their main warehouse. We have seen the order process first hand and heard a few stories from consumers, especially when it comes to making a change to any online order.
It’s not clear why Withings decided to sell the Activite Pop in the UK with Dixons, aka Curry’s PC World, as there were many better choices in our opinion like Tesco and even other popular retailers. One Product Reviews reader said, “I just ordered a Withings Activité Pop at Curry’s and to say customer service is bad would be an understatement. They prefer to tell you why you are wrong, rather than helping to find a solution to order problems. I have now cancelled my Withings order”.
Any new launch will cause frustration, although it is how stores deal with issues that create a feeling of good customer service. Not letting Withings Activite Pop launch at other retailers on day one might be a mistake in our opinion.
Low stock will be one reason Withings couldn’t let many stores sell the Activite Pop on its UK release date. This still won’t make those that couldn’t get one today any happier, especially the customer that said “I ordered a Withings Activite Pop at Curry’s and they told me I had to cancel my order to get next day instead, so I did that and now they say there’s no stock left. I asked where the one you told me to cancel has gone and they said this is just the system, it’s not their fault. Withings should have used someone better than Curry’s to sell this new smartwatch”.
Have you had any problems buying a Withings Activite Pop today in the UK? We would love to hear your comments below, especially if you have something positive or negative to say about the customer service.
The current price for Activite Pop is just under £120 and you can watch a video detailing its features below. Apple’s online store do sell Withings products, but it’s not clear if they will sell the Activite Pop considering the Apple Watch will launch soon. The latter product will cost a lot more and do more, although some consumers feel the Activite Pop mixes analogue and digital features perfectly.
