Wiper Blade Change: Recommended Removal Period and DIY Help

Do you feel it is now the right time for a wiper blade change for your motor? Using old and worn down wipers can have some pretty dangerous consequences whilst on the road, so you’ll be interested to know that we have some easy steps which will make the process a lot easier for you.

Although you can obviously replace your wiper blades whenever you choose, it is recommended that car owners change windshield wiper blades at least once every year, especially around the fall period in preparation for winter – not everyone remembers to do this though, or sees it as a necessity for their motor.

To be on the safe side though, just spend a day changing them. We’ve picked out a few guides to help you with this, one of them comes from eHow. They have compiled a seven step guide, complete with diagrams which show you the best and most efficient way of changing your wiper blades when the time comes to it.

One of the biggest complaint that consumers have whilst attempting the removal, is the fact that the car wipers they purchased simply do not fit, or are of bad quality – so the first real task is to make sure you seek professional help from your auto retailer when buying the parts.

Another useful guide that we have found comes from Buzzle, who have provided a slightly longer wiper blade change tutorial than eHow. Both guides are quite effective and should help you out if you’re in trouble.

When was the last time you changed your wiper blades? Do you see it as a necessity or not?
