Windows Phone 7 UK: Orange, O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile and Three Confirmed

The launch of Windows Phone 7 devices is getting closer everyday now, just this morning we gave you details of what the new HTC HD7 will look like, as well as conformation of an October launch for five new HTC devices. We can now tell you that all five UK networks have signed up to the new OS.

Those five are O2, Orange, Three, T-Mobile and Vodafone, and according to Stewart Mitchell from PC Pro, Alex Reeve from Microsoft said that both Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4u will be stocking them.

The idea of all five UK carriers supplying the new Windows Phone 7 will certainly help if Microsoft has any hope of competing with the iPhone or Android based smartphones.

We already know that Windows Phone 7 will be available to a number of carriers in the U.S., but with AT&T being named as a premium carrier, which we assume has something to do with them possible losing the iPhone exclusivity — they are certain to have a huge push upon release of their first Windows Phone 7 handset.
