Windows Phone 7 at MWC 2010: Revelations So Far and Livecast

The Mobile World Congress 2010 is absolutely huge for Windows Phone 7, so much so that SlashGear are holding a Livecast of the Microsoft Windows Phone Press Event (link here).

At the time of this post the event had been going on approximately 40 minutes, a lot of what has been revealed so far was already rumored, therefore it is great to see some confirmation.

The first person to talk during the event was Joe Belfiore, Belfiore is in charge of the OS’s design and believes that Windows Phone 7 is an opportunity for Microsoft to change, he believes that handsets OS’s are no longer as intuitive as the apps that are developed for the platforms.

The new UI is said to be more like the Zune HD’s, there will be clearer text and bigger buttons, apparently every Windows Phone 7 “will have three buttons on the front: Home, Search and Back”.

Also all Windows Phone devices will feature capacitive touchscreen displays, to find out more check out SlashGear’s livecast.

We will go into more detail in posts later today, we will also try to summarize all of the important Windows Phone 7 news.
