Windows 10 technical preview, insiders download for direction

The Microsoft Windows 10 technical preview is live with a download available after the tech savvy sign-up to the Insiders Program. While Hotmail is still one of the biggest reasons people visit Microsoft’s website, there’s an increasing number heading to to download the ISO for Windows 10 and help with a technical preview.

Already this year, we highlighted changes with the Spartan browser overhaul and totally different outlook on pricing. Today, we wanted to put the spotlight on a couple of Microsoft pages for those that know what an ISO is, if not then don’t bother reading anymore.


You can download the Windows 10 Technical Preview ISO by visiting this page on There’s some basic steps you need to follow if you want to be involved, which include signing up for the Windows Insider Program. This is certainly the first thing you should do before anything else, so head to this link at to learn what Insiders do and how they help Microsoft shape the future OS.

Once you are signed up, then you need to take a look at minimum system requirements for the Microsoft Windows 10 technical preview before downloading the ISO file. In a nutshell, if you were able to run Windows 8.1 there shouldn’t be any problems.

Your system basically needs to feature a 1GHz or faster processor, 16GB of free hard drive space, 1GB of 32-bit or 2GB of 64-bit RAM, a DirectX 9 graphics device, and of course Internet access. If these specs are all good, then you just download the file for free from Microsoft and transfer the file to a USB flash drive or DVD.
