Windows 10 Critical Error for Start Menu, Cortana fixed

While the Windows 10 launch has been a smooth one for many users, others are complaining that they are getting Window 10 Critical Error messages relating to the Start Menu and Cortana.

If you have been using the new software heavily since launch, you may have encountered this issue yourself – specifically a message which reads “Windows 10 Critical Error Start Menu and Cortana aren’t working”.

We know that many of you have been seeing this exact error, along with other Windows 10 error codes such as Windows 10 error 27850, Windows 10 error code 0xc004c003 and also a Windows 10 update error 80240020.

The good news is that Microsoft are already aware of the main issue involving the Start Menu and Cortana error in Windows 10.

There has been a detailed reply from a Microsoft representative, providing a Windows 10 Critical Error for Start Menu, Cortana error fix which you can start trying.

Microsoft advises affected users to go into Safe Mode by holding down the Shift key while you press the Power icon and select Restart.

Alternatively if that doesn’t work you can also go one step further and create your own Windows 10 dump file, which Microsoft says will help them significantly in determining the exact problem.
