Wii U games in 2014 preview with Nintendo

We have some good news for those of you with a Wii U console and are looking forward to what is coming in 2014. Nintendo has sent out a message, confirming that a new Nintendo Direct December 2013 event will take place very soon, offering a preview of new Wii U games that are coming in 2014.

For those of you looking to play new games next year, it could mean that we finally get some solid information with regards to a Bayonetta 2 release date. With the event specifically tied to Spring 2014 releases, Nintendo could also be ready to give out some more information on Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros.

In wishful thinking terms, we don’t think that we will see any information on the highly anticipated Zelda game for Wii U – it’s probably still far too early for Nintendo to start discussing that game just yet.

Nintendo obviously has something to say though. The event will be starting on Wednesday December 18 at 6am Pacific Time or 9am Eastern Time. Who knows, a surprise Metroid announcement from Retro Games could end up stealing the headlines this week – what do you think?

If you have a Wii U, let us know your thoughts on the year ahead in terms of games coming out.
