Wii U 2014 doubt after analyst attack

Are you a happy Wii U owner right now? You should be if you have just purchased the excellent Super Mario 3D World game that has just released on the system. Mouth-watering games such as Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros Wii U are on the way next year, but one analyst still believes that Nintendo and their Wii U console are in trouble.

Can you work out who that analyst is without us mentioning them first? Once again, the infamous analyst Michael Pachter has given his latest gaming comments, specifically singling out the Wii U in what can only be described as an attack on Nintendo’s current president Satoru Iwata.

When speaking at a recent Summit event, Pachter apparently had this to say about Mr Iwata:

“I don’t know why Iwata is still employed. Sony thrives, Nintendo doesn’t.”

In relation to these comments, Pachter has added that he doesn’t understand why Nintendo do not put their older games such as GBA titles, onto mobile devices. He thinks that a lot of money is there to be made and by doing something like this would increase Nintendo’s popularity for the Wii U console moving forward.

While it would obviously be nice to see some classic Nintendo games on the iOS and Android stores, is it still perhaps harsh of Pachter to speak about Nintendo’s president in this way?

We think the Wii U will have no problems whatsoever once Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros and Zelda lands. Give us your reaction to this below.
