White Knight Chronicles II: Review round-up shows average scores

The moment that many a PS3 gamer had been waiting for finally arrived the week before last, and by that I mean the arrival of the much-awaited White Knight Chronicles II game. Although many of you have probably gone out and purchased the game already, there still may be some that are waiting for the reviews to come in before they decide whether or not to buy Level 5-developed RPG.

We thought we’d take a look at a few of the reviews that have surfaced since the game — which was originally launched in Japan back in July last year – was released and judging by the ratings and comments, I’d say that the reviewers in question weren’t that impressed with the White Knight Chronicles II game. However, as the saying goes, you can’t please everyone!!

The first review we took a look at is from Adam Waddilove over on the website. According to Adam, who gave the White Knight Chronicles II game an overall score of 6.5 out of 10, the White Knight Chronicles II game unfortunately suffers from the exact same issues as the 2008 original. This reviewer states that although the combat system has improved slightly, it still has its problems.

One good thing that Adam pointed out is the fact that players can import their save from the original game or the Director’s Cut over to the new game. Another upside to the game is the co-op mode, which Adam says can be fun at times. Next up is a review from Andrew Laughlin over at Andrew gave the game an overall score of 3/5, noting that it may cause frustration, confusion and boredom!

This reviewer describes the White Knight Chronicles II game as a solid but not spectacular role-playing game that will no doubt leave some players frustrated. The final review we looked at was from James Hall over on the website. According to James, who gave it 5/10 and described it as average, the game suffers from clunky dialogue, bland characters and underwhelming direction and writing.
