White iPad 2 Hands-on: Turbo Speed

Now all the speculation is over we know exactly what the iPad 2 will look like, and what the specifications will be. The team over at Engadget has managed to have a play with the new device at the launch event, and have given their first impressions of the device.

Joshua Topolsky from Engadget is reporting that one of the biggest things they noticed was the speed of the iPad 2; they said it is super quick and feels like its turbo charged. Software which was originally made for the first iPad feels better, with Safari seeming much quicker.

The design of the new iPad is nice a thin, thinner than the iPhone 4. They said when you are holding it has more of a magazine feel to it instead of a book, with everything still feeling nice and solid. Even though the screen is nothing new, games still looked pretty impressive.

It was also thought that consumers will love the new apps available for the device. We have one of the videos of the device in action from Engadget below. Use the link above to view the other videos they have of the iPad 2.
