What is Bungie Aerospace? reveal coming soon

One game developer which we were shocked not to see at E3 2011 was Bungie, recently talk started emerging about something called Bungie Aerospace, we still do not know what this is, but we can reveal that later this month everything should become more clear.

According to a recent post on IGN Bungie will make a full announcement regarding Bungie Aerospace in the next few weeks, no accurate date has been given, however it will apparently coincide with a series of celebrations which they have planned to commemorate its 20th anniversary.

These celebrations are set to start will start on June 23rd and end on July 7th, during the reveal Bungie has promised to tell us all about Bungie Aerospace in explicit detail. For the time being we have some speculation to tell you about from Destructoid, GamesRadar and Bungie.net Forums, check out the links for full details.

There are plenty of ideas floating about, some think it will be Reach-related, some say they be licensing out their engine and others just think it is the name of a new game series which they will be releasing to multiple platforms, perhaps being published by Activision. David Houghton over at GamesRadar UK suggests that it could be a new community/distribution platform which will compete with Steam and finally Destructoid suggests that it will be a completely new engine which may be used by 343 Industries for Halo 4.

We think that the most exciting prospect is that it will be a new game series which involves space combat, however previously we also heard that it may be a multi-platform MMORPG.
