Earlier on, we informed you that today is ‘apparently’ the big deadline day for when Sony brings the PlayStation Store back online for PS3 and PSP gamers, and now we have fresh news which suggests that it definitely could happen later on today.
We now know that Sony has kept to their promise about the extra PlayStation Plus subscription allowance for members. An image over at VG247 now confirms that Sony has began to update members accounts with an extra 60 days of access to the PlayStation Store.
Don’t forget that current members get an extra 30 days on top of the standard 30 days that normal PSN members are getting, so if you are a PSN+ subscriber, you can look forward to seeing your updated account later on!
Furthermore, we’re hearing that Sony will shut down the PlayStation Network today at 4pm GMT in order to make preparations for the return of the PlayStation Store. Hopefully this process will last minutes rather than hours, and then we’ll all be enjoying our Welcome Back packages later on today.
If you are a PSN+ subscriber, let us know if you have received an email from Sony telling you that your 60 day bonus access is now in effect. Looks like today is going to be a happy day for PS3 and PSP users after all.
