Weather Android app for UK thunderstorm forecast

Are you braced for the UK thunderstorm forecast warning that is about hit parts of the UK? You know it can only be typical British weather when a heatwave is followed by a thunderstorm.

We have already had confirmation that some areas of the UK were hit by thunderstorms over the night, one of which you can check out in full glory in the included video below.

Now, we have a quick heads-up for when the next thunderstorm may be hitting with a very useful weather Android app that we have picked out. It’s called Realtime Lightning Detector and essentially converts your phone into a live thunderstorm detection system.

Using the latest data from Metcheck, you’ll be able to pinpoint the exact location where a lightning strike has happened in your area. Obviously this could be very beneficial to those that are worried where thunderstorms are going to hit, whilst also being a great tool to check whether there is going to be lightning in a place that you need to travel to during the week.

Since this app has just launched, there are no reviews on the Google Play Store unfortunately. The app however is free though and is well worth checking out if you are bracing yourself for some thunder today and until the weekend.

Have you already witnessed thunderstorms after the heatwave in your area? Let us know if you are using Android or iOS apps to help with this and which one you think is the most useful for you.
