Watch World Cup 2010 online via mobile outside EU: Warning Issued

If you are on holiday during the World Cup you may want to check out a recent article posted on BBC News, this is because it warns readers that mobile phone fees when abroad combined with the World Cup could result in a huge bill.

If you are like me you will probably never be far from your smartphone, this means I have a way of getting all of the latest scores, videos, news and gossip from the World Cup, however doing this abroad could cost you up to £8 per megabyte.

It is not just Internet browsing which is expensive when abroad, the BBC’s article suggests that uploading 10 photos when abroad could cost you up to £80, also phone calls will cost you up to £1.50 per minute and texts could cost 50p each.

If you are worried about incurring a high bill you should check with your carrier before you fly, or perhaps leave your handset at home.
