Watch Dogs Online free roam needs Uplay Account

Are you enjoying Watch Dogs fever at the moment? A lot of you will have given GTA V a break to play Ubisoft’s latest effort and now we have a quick heads-up for those who want to jump into a Watch Dogs Online free roam game with friends.

Watch Dogs free roam is one of the most enjoyable online modes that we can see so far after playing and it looks like it has quickly become one of the most popular modes for everyone else.

What you need to be aware of though, is that Watch Dogs Online free roam requires players to have a Ubisoft UPlay account before being able to play. If you have played games such as Assassin’s Creed online in the past you should have signed into your account automatically when you first play the game.

For everyone else though playing Watch Dogs for the first time you will need to sign up for an publisher-specific account before you can play online with friends – standard normal practise with most games now, EA Origin account for example.

Luckily Ubisoft has made the process worth your effort as we can reveal that you’ll instantly gain access to a few bonus items. These include the Watch Dogs Papavero stealth car, Watch Dogs Gold D50 pistol and an online cash boost.

The Uplay account also links to the official Watch Dogs ctOS app as well, which we told you about in a previous article here.

Let us know if you have had any problems signing in to Watch Dogs online with uPlay accounts and your thoughts on Ubisoft offering bonus items for players to make the registration worthwhile.
