Warface teaser with Xbox 360 and PC release date

Upcoming online browser based free-to-play FPS known as Warface is being developed by Crytek, with an expected release on both PC and Xbox 360 platforms. Currently in its open beta stage Warface is expected to arrive on the Xbox 360 early next year, while the PC version is expected much earlier.

Below this article we have embedded a brief Warface launch teaser which only lasts about a minute, but it does divulge a PC release date at the end. Towards the end of the trailer an image comes up displaying the words “Live October 21st” with additional wording promoting gamers to register on now, although we are unsure whether this includes the Xbox 360 date, as this is not expected until early 2014.

With Warface in open beta many gamers have had the chance to see this in action, and we would love to know any thoughts on this by those who have spent some time on it. We are concerned whether this will be another generic encounter, and whether the graphics live up to the Crytek standards we have become accustom to.

From what we can see from the teaser video below the visuals look pretty impressive, although we would have preferred to see more actual gameplay. As we understand an Xbox 360 version is expected in the New Year, we wonder whether a PS3 version will be contemplated in the near future.

Are you looking forward to the arrival of the PC version next Monday? Or are you starting to get fed up with the prominence of first person shooter nowadays?
