Volkswagen Vento Price: Large waiting periods

The new Volkswagen Vento is to be unleashed on the Indian market, and the price you pay is rumored to be between Rs. 7.5-9.5 lakh. The sedan should do very will as it has been based on the popular “Polo” platform, but is very different, as it is the first VW to be designed for the domestic market.

There will be two engine choices — a 1.6-liter diesel and a 1.6-liter petrol, there will also be two transmission choices — manual or automatic. VW will not have it easy in India, as they will have a tough market to compete in.

Models in that market include the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Ford Fiesta, the upcoming Toyota Etios and much more. The final price for the Volkswagen Vento will be announced in August — and it will need to be competitive if the German automaker has any hopes of competing in that tough market.

This will be new territory for VW, as it is there first car that has not only been designed but also manufactured in India. For more details on this visit WheelsUnplugged
