Vodafone 845 / Joy: Smallest Ever Android Handset

Up until now if you have been looking to buy a relatively small Android-based handset you will not have been spoilt for choice, however a handset recently manufactured by Huawei for Vodafone has a pretty good claim to fame, it is apparently the smallest Android handset yet.

Currently the smallest Android handset on the market is the HTC Tattoo, however the Vodafone 845 / Joy apparently measures in at just 100 x 55 x 13 mm, this makes it shorter and it thinner than the Tattoo which measured in at 106 x 55.2 x 14 mm.

To be honest it is quite nice to see a different type of Android handset manufactured, most recent Android handsets such as the Nexus One, Motorola Droid and HTC Incredible seem to be direct competitors to the iPhone 3GS, however Huawei’s latest handset should be a great solution for people who don’t require a high end smartphone.

Despite not being a high-end smartphone it is still not too bad, it will connect to all of the following networks;GSM/GPRS/EDGE at 900/1800/1900 MHz and will feature a 2.8-inch touchscreen display and a 3.2-megapixel camera.

As we hear details regarding the 845’s full specs, pricing and release info we will keep you posted, for more information check out the link below.
