VIZIO had to issue a recall for three of its models a few days ago, which would have come as a shock to owners of affected models. The company has been doing its best to keep customers informed as to what is going on, and why the decision was made to issue a recall, which is the complete opposite of what GM did at the start of the ignition problem that has affected millions of its cars.
Vizio recall list — There are three models affected by this recall, those are the E390-B0, E390i-B0, and the E420i-B0 TVs. The problem does not lie with the television itself, but rather the TV stand, which could become unstable and in some cases topple over.
There is a risk of injury, as well as damage to the TV, and so you are asked to see if your TV is affected.
The models were made between December 2014 and June 2014, which means there could be a lot of VIZIO TVs being recalled.
Vizio TV stand replacement procedure — Vizio has already started to contact customers that their TV stands needs to be replaced, and as a gesture of goodwill the standard one-year warranty has been extended to two.
If you feel you have an affected TV, then you are asked to type your VIZIO TV serial number HERE, or call them on 855-472-7450, which is free to call.
Let us hope that this does not cause issues for VIZIO Black Friday sales, as we know this is one of the most popular TV brands in terms of sales for that time of year.
