Vivitek launches Qumi 3D-ready HD LED pocket projector

Technology is definitely advancing when it comes to pocket projectors these days, with manufacturers increasing resolutions and adding extra features. Today we have news about Vivitek Corporation’s new Qumi, which is in fact the very first pocket projector to be 3D-ready.

According to a recent article over at businesswire.com, the Vivitek Qumi HD LED pocket projector is now available to purchase both online and in retail stores, with an MSRP of $499. The device weighs in at just 1.4 pounds, and is 3D-ready via Texas Instruments’ DLP Link technology.

The Qumi features a sleek design and touch sensitive buttons, and is ready to use with a number of different devices including (but not limited to) smartphones, laptops, tablet PCs and digital cameras. It also comes with a 720p native WXGA (11280 x 800) resolution.

Connectivity options on the Vivitek Qumi include Universal I/O (24-pin connector for component/VGA input), AV mini-jack audio out, USB, mini HDMI and microSD card slots for memory expansion and content. Other features include a 2500:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of up to 300 lumens.

The Vivitek Qumi LED pocket projector comes with an integrated 1W speaker, provides around 30,000 plus LED hours of operation and is offered in both a white or black finish. Are you thinking about buying a new pocket projector?
