Virgin Media has confirmed buffering problems with YouTube and users confirm videos are not working in a number of ways. Some Virgin UK customers have 152MB speeds and nothing down today other than YouTube, or at least the way their internet service provider is connecting to Google’s video sharing website.
Down Today point out that Virgin Media’s official Twitter channel confirmed the problems with watching videos on YouTube around 3 days ago. At the time, Virgin Media made it clear they will update customers when more details on a fix arrives.
We checked a post on Online Social Media today, and notice problems being submitted by Virgin Media users a number of days later. Even in the last couple of hours one customer said, “90 percent of YouTube links are not working and I have 152MB speed with Virgin in the UK. Everything is fine other than YouTube, I can get some videos to play but most will not work and hang on the buttering stage”.
If you’re with Virgin Media, are YouTube videos not working for you today? While we hear that Virgin Media isn’t down today, it seems like these YouTube issues are frustrating thousands of their customers.
@joelittlejohn We've no more news on this just yet. We are working on getting this sorted as soon as possible. MKa

The latest update arrived on the official Virgin Media Twitter page within the last minute, at the time of writing, and you can see this within the tweet above. It looks like a fix is being worked on to get YouTube working again for Virgin Media broadband customers, but the status is currently one of waiting.
