Vine shines with LFC’s Suarez bite video mashup

Yesterday, we revealed how Liverpool FC’s Luis Suarez might not get the transfer to FC Barcelona after biting Juventus player, Giorgio Chiellini. This of course depended on FIFA taking action against the football player after what seemed to be a bite during a World Cup game just yesterday, although since that article we’ve heard that FIFA will be charging LFC’s Suarez for the apparent bite but need to look at evidence first.

Vine shines with LFC’s Suarez bite video mashup – Twitter introduced Vine at the start of last year and they called this short looping video service, “A new way to share video”. Since its release, we’ve seen its popularity grow and this is obviously helped by the way it easily integrates into the Twitter social network.

Those that didn’t get Vine when it first launched last year asked, how can you do anything meaningful with video running for 6 seconds or less? Since then, it has become clear and a lot can be done in creative ways with just 6 seconds of video.

One perfect example has been seen right after Luis Suarez apparently started biting again during the 2014 World Cup. The incident might have only happened yesterday, but already there’s hundreds of short looping Vine videos being shared on Twitter showcasing LFC’s Suarez biting players in the past and yesterday.

Do you use Vine a lot to showcase video moments and if so, how has it changed the way you share short video? You can see one Vine example above that makes it hard to believe Suarez didn’t bite Chiellini during the Italy vs. Uruguay game yesterday.
