Many people are still waiting for the Verizon HTC Thunderbolt, but we still do not have an official launch date for the device. We have had Verizon’s CFO talking about new price plans that will come with the device, but he still didn’t give us a date. And now Verizon have taken to pushing the handset further by showing a commercial for it.
Florin over at unwiredview.com is reporting that the commercial aired on Comedy Central. The ad didn’t say much about the handset, and more importantly no mention of a release date. You can see the ad for yourself below. Verizon have also used Facebook to post a statement for the device, and basically said they will announce a release date as soon as it is confirmed.
Meanwhile over at Phandroid Kevin Krause has written an article containing more Thunderbolt advertising. They have a set of images from a HTC Thunderbolt display and also an in-store booklet promoting the device. It mentions a lot about the speed of the device, and has a big focus on Skype Video Chat. This still doesn’t mention any release date for the handset.
We have had a lot of readers who want to get the Thunderbolt, but are getting tired of waiting for a release date, and are unhappy with Verizon in the handling of it. Some people are wondering why there has been a delay in the handset, and are worried there may be problems.
