Verizon iPhone: ‘We’re ready for release’ – Verizon

We have some more details surrounding the infamous ‘Verizon iPhone’ to tell you about now, as it has been reported that Verizon Wireless are ‘fully ready’ to support Apple’s handset during 2010.

According to this report from BGR, Verizon Wireless Chief Technology Officer Anthony Melone has stated in a recent interview, that the carrier is now ready to support the iPhone after putting things in place, and insists that they can cope with the heavy data traffic that rivals AT&T has been suffering from lately.

BGR also makes the interesting point that a CDMA version of the iPhone wouldn’t be ‘practical’ for Verizon Wireless, which only fuels speculation that a LTE iPhone could be on the agenda as well.
