Verizon iPhone: Retail Release for CDMA model soon?

We have some fresh details on the Verizon iPhone now, as it has been reported that the device is now in it’s final testing phase, and that the CDMA version of Apple’s device will be ready for retail release soon.

The new details have emerged courtesy of this report from BGR, who have been informed by one of their sources close to Apple. They state that the ‘iPhone 3.2’ device, previously located in iOS code is indeed the CDMA model and that the phone is now at the “AP” testing stage.

This means that this is the final stage before the phone actually goes on retail, which seems to suggest that all the rumors involving a January 2011 launch could have been true all along.

Furthermore, their sources also confirmed that the device will have room for a SIM card, which again backs up previous speculation that the Verizon iPhone will have support for both CDMA and GSM networks, so it can operate on the likes of AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile.

More details on this report over at BGR. Give us your reaction on this. Are you now starting to believe that the Verizon iPhone is a reality?
