Verizon iPhone: New Apple hardware within iOS 4.1?

We have some interesting new details to share with you now, as it has been reported that Apple have a secret hardware product in the works, after it was discovered within the code inside the forthcoming iOS 4.1 update.

According to this report from Apple Insider, Apple are now thought to be testing a series of products with iOS 4.1, as many as three to be exact.

Some of these products include an updated iPad, and also a brand new iPod Touch device, which is rumored to be coming with iPhone 4 features. However, iOS 4.1 configuration files have revealed that there is also a listing for “unknownHardware”, along with an Apple product ID of 20547.

Apple Insider state that this may be related to Apple TV or ‘iTV’ as it will later be known, but there is also the slim possibility that ‘unknownhardware’ may be teasing a CDMA version of the iPhone.
