Verizon iPhone 5: Won’t Support 4G LTE – Are you bothered?

We have an interesting article for you to read now, and particularly some disappointing news if you are planning to pick up a Verizon iPhone next year. It has been reported that the fifth-generation iphone, aka the iPhone 5 won’t come with Verizon’s 4G LTE speeds.

According to this report from Apple Insider, they have cited an article over at TechCrunch, which claims that the iPhone 5 will have dual network support via GSM and CDMA, but won’t come with support for Verizon’s new LTE network.

It hasn’t been ruled out completely though. While a Verizon iPhone will be available early next year, a separate device with 4G LTE support will follow in 2012 according to the report. The report also states that Apple won’t want to rush out an LTE-compatible device, when 3G speeds are still capable and acceptable for the majority of iPhone users.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you be happy with just an iPhone 4 on Verizon, or do you want one with support for 4G LTE instead of 3G?
