According to this report from BGR, new information has also revealed that Apple could be ready to field test the next generation iPad, or iPad 2 as it might end up being named.

If you head over to BGR, you’ll see a block of code which has been found inside iOS 4. According to the code, the Verizon iPhone or the iPad 2 would be able to auto-activate itself, bypassing the need to use iTunes.

Furthermore, BGR adds that the information also contains a platform code for the CDMA iPhone, which is N82AP. This is particularly interesting, since John Gruber (Daring Fireball) has previously stated that the CDMA iPhone codename is N82. Let us know your your thoughts on this juicy info.
