Verizon Galaxy S4 customized heaven teased

Verizon may have been late to the Samsung Galaxy S4 release party just like the Note 2, but as some had expected, the company could be making up for it in a big way. Word has spread that Verizon are preparing something known as the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTD – a customized version of the popular smartphone, allowing consumers to significantly change the appearance of the device for that added sense of uniqueness.

Make no mistake, the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 LTD definitely has not been announced by either company – far from it. This is the first time that we have heard about such a device in the pipeline, but an image supplied by the usually trustworthy EVLeaks suggests that this is already a done deal.

Verizon’s LTD edition won’t just allow simple customization options. Instead, Big Red are apparently partnering with several design teams to allow consumers to choose a variety of different face plates for their front and back Galaxy S4 covers, with Kid Robot, KAWS, Undefeated and KRINK all rumored to be on board already.

This is just on the hardware design front – the LTD will also allow consumers to customize and build their own wallpapers as well, using a special website, which we’re guessing will go live over the Summer. It sounds adventurous, but it could end up being a masterplan by Verizon and perfect for those consumers who like to stand out from the crowd with a personalized smartphone.

There’s no early information on pricing, but obviously expect to pay a little more for this added luxury. You can see some preview screenshots of the upcoming project over at the Unlockr. Take a look and let us know if you would be interested in picking up a special customized version of the Galaxy S4 from Verizon.
