Verizon CDMA iPhone: Mass Production Starts in September

A few days ago we posed some information about the rumored CDMA iPhone, this article suggested that Pegatron Technology Corp were apparently in the process of developing the CDMA iPhone, this CDMA handset could perhaps launch on Verizon sometime in 2011.

A recent article posted on WSJ states that “One person familiar with the situation said Pegatron is scheduled to start mass producing CDMA iPhones in September”, that said there is no indication as to when this handset will be available from CDMA carriers such as Verizon.

WSJ contacted representatives of Pegatron however they declined to comment, this is no great surprise as Apple like to keep their launches and creations a secret.

Currently Pegatron are the manufacturing subsidiary of ASUSTeK Computer Inc, Wikipedia states that Pegatron are responsible for “OEM manufacturing of motherboards and components”.
