What does it mean when the Consumer Reports website changes it’s mind about a product, and cannot recommend it, how much weight can this carry? Today we hear that Consumer Reports has stated it “can’t recommend the iPhone 4”.
You can view the full statement on their site here, or view the video report below this story. Verizon Wireless want the iPhone 4, consumers want a Verizon iPhone, but these signal problems need fixing before this happens. Would a Verizon customer be happy with signal issues like this?
After the engineers gave iPhone 4 a full test, they confirmed that the 4th generation iPhone had a problem with the reception, one that can be fixed with an Apple Bumper. According to Apple Insider, Apple’s response before this latest news was “any mobile phone” could experience these problems with reception, if the device is not held properly. Would you agree with that?
We do agree with Consumer Reports about Apple finding a free and permanent fix, you should not be expected to buy a case to fix an issue, which was sold with the device. Consumer Reports did say they could recommend iPhone 4 if there was a “permanent and free fix”.
What are your thoughts on this latest blow to Apple?
